Meet Our Coaching Staff

Head Coach Zachary Weir

Coach Weir has a passion for using basketball as a platform to develop great people! Along with coaching basketball, he also teaches math.

Coach Weir graduated from Waxahachie High School in 2000, where he was a varsity letterman as a point guard, 1st team All-District as a senior and also voted MVP by his teammates his senior year. He graduated from Oakland City University in 2005 where he played college basketball and received numerous accolades during his playing career. Coach Weir was named the Fort Worth Area Coach of the year in the 2023-2024 season and the 4-6A District Coach of the Year 4 times. He has coached basketball for 18 years and is entering his sixth year at Keller High School. He’s excited for the opportunity to work with amazing athletes and the tremendous community support of Keller. Off the court, Coach Weir enjoys anything that keeps him active and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Varsity Assistant Casey Harris

Coach Harris is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been coaching in the Dallas-Fort Worth area at various schools for the last 30 years. He also had the opportunity of doing sports ministry in the country of Ukraine from 2011-2013. This will be his first year in coaching at Keller High School.  He is very thankful for the opportunity to help continue the tradition of success with Keller basketball and to be around young men who desire to work hard every day. When away from work, Coach Harris is always looking for a golf game.

JV Head Coach Samuel Wade

Coach Wade graduated from Rockwall High School in 2002. He went on to attend East Texas A&M and then return back to his Hometown of Rockwall to begin his career in coaching.   This is his fourteenth year coaching and his first year back in Keller after spending time in GCISD. Previously, he has coached at Keller Middle School and is excited to be back in the district. In his free time he enjoys outings with his daughters, Sloane & Reese, and his wife Kristi. 

Freshman Coach Kris Keller

Freshman Coach Jeff Cook

Coach Cook is a graduate of the University of North Texas and a proud veteran with 14 years of service in the U.S. Army. He brings four years of coaching experience from Birdville ISD and Azle ISD in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This marks his first year coaching at Keller High School, where he is eager to contribute to the Keller ISD community and join the Indian Nation. Coach Cook is enthusiastic about the opportunity to lead and inspire students at Keller High School. Outside of coaching and teaching, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Kristen, and their children, Nicholas, Jacob, and Kadence.
